Forever Friends

Here is a card I made for Deedee's Digis Progressive Challenge. If you make a card with the image of the month, you get the next months's image (which is a wonderful set, actually) automatically sent to you!
Here is this month's set called Forever Friends. Because it is the Digi set of the Month, you get all the images you see for $1.25. That is a GREAT bargain!

Here is the card I made with one of the images and a really wonderfully cute sentiment
 (also in the set).
I used papers from my stash along with Copic markers for coloring!
Hope you will check out Deedee's challenge.

A little bit of a Nerdy Bunny-- Gerda Steiner Designs Challenge

I have been trying so hard to get back in the swing of some challenges I was a regular at. Wouldn't you think a month would be plenty of time to get a card made? Well, for some of us who are procrastinators, that simply doesn't happen! But I found some time this month and I got this cute little Nerdy Bunny colored up and ready to place in the challenge over at Gerda Steiner Designs.

This is a Progressive challenge which means that if you play this month, you automatically receive the next month's image for free!

Here is my card using Bunny with Glasses by Gerda.

I colored with Copic markers and used papers and gems from my stash.

I'm also entering my card in the PINK challenge at Whoopsi Daisy
and the STRIPE challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and more

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

A New Color Challenge at the Outlawz--let's play TicTacToe

I've always loved Tic Tac Toe challenges and the Outlawz Color Challenge has brought one back this week. My last week guesting over there and I have so enjoyed my fun time with Laurian, Ursula, Ina, Susan, and Kate!! Hope you will check it out because there is so much abundant talent there!!

And the Paper Nest images have been a dream to work with!!  Paper Nest is the February sponsor so please visit the store and see what I'm talking about!! The February winner will get to choose 3 digital images from the store!

Now, on to the challenge! Here is the Tic Tac Toe! Go horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!! If you use the middle space, you get to pick any color!!

For my card, I chose to use the bottom horizontal row with purple, black, and green. For my die cuts, I used Spellbinders Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8. I had never used those together before, but I love the perfect layering look it gives. I also used gems on my card (because I am a blingy girl and I love gems of all colors!)

My Paper Nest image is Butterfly Friend Avery. I colored her with Copic markers.

I hope you will stop by the Outlawz Color challenge and see what the Design Team ladies came up with.

Briefly, here are some rules for entering the color challenge!  The challenge colors should be clearly visible and in majority on your project. If you will be adding other colors, they should be less visible than the challenge colors. If you are using a stamped image or digi stamp, you do not have to color the image in the challenge colors. Make sure you add the "TWIST" (if there is one) to be eligible for the drawing.

Challenges I am entering:
Scribble and Scrap Challenge - Anything Goes
Come and Get it Challenge - Layer it on
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and hope you have a very lovely day!!

February 18 Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Can't believe that February is half over (even though it is a short month!). I need to start looking through my gardening catalogs because it will soon be time to plant flowers!! And I'm READY!

But meanwhile, there is lots to keep me busy. We have a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz!

Wednesday Sketch

Our sponsor all month is The Stamping Boutique. They will give a prize to the monthly winner of 2 digis from their store but if the winner has used a TSB image, the prize will be 3 digis!

Here is the sketch for this week!

And here is my card using Turtle, a digital image by The Stamping Boutique. I rotated the sketch to accommodate the shape of my printed image.

I used papers from my stash and used Copic markers to color the image! On the right hand side, I used a suede jewelry cord that I had picked up on a clearance shelf. The mossy green color was a perfect match for this card and laid flat against the cardstock. The brads are from Spare Parts by the Paper Studio.  Overall card size is 5 x 7 inches.

Hope you will stop by the challenge and see what the other Design Team gals have made.

Challenges I am entering:
A girl who crafts - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by my little blog!

Outlawz Color Challenge

I love doing color challenges but it is even more fun when you get to select the colors yourself!

This week at the Outlawz Color Challenge, we are given an inspiration photo with one color selected. You get to pick the other two colors you want to include on your project as well as the "twist". How fun is that?? Well, bunches of fun, I think!!

http://www.the-papernest.com/

Now, here is the inspiration photo with the color Sky Blue chosen already.

For my color palette, I chose Sky Blue, Mossy Green, and Rust with a twist of "Add a sentiment"
Here is my card using those colors and a sentiment. The main image is Ellie with Sunflowers Inkscape by Paper Nest.

I colored the image with Copic markers and used papers from my hoarded supply! I used a small heart punch for the heart accents.
I know you will want to enter this color challenge!

February Progressive Freebie Challenge at the Outlawz

Today is February 1st, which means so many things! Valentine's Day is right around the corner......the longest part of winter is behind me.........my income tax appointment is in a few days.......and...........a new Progressive Freebie Challenge at the Outlawz!!!

Our generous sponsor this month is Sandi Samples (Sandi Huggett) and she donated a fantastic image to be used for the month of February!  Please take time to visit her blog. She will also be giving 3 images to a winner!

The image she donated is a watering can and here is the card I made with this lovely image.

I colored the image with Copic markers; C2,C3, C5, C7, C8, YG67, YG63, YG03, RV000, RV21, RV29, Y28, Y19, Y15, Y38, R35, R59, YR18

I used papers from my stash to do the layers. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by Hot off the Press.  The ladybug stickers are from my stash, too.

If you took part in this progressive challenge in January, you automatically will receive by email the Watering Can image by Sandi Samples (Sandi Huggett).  If you didn't take part but want to, it is easy to join in the fun.

Here is how it works!

First, if you're not a member of the Outlawz, join!  Click HERE  to go to the main Outlawz site.
Second, join the Progressive Freebie Group- it is listed under Challenges at the top of the Main Page
Third, you will need to register to play. Do this by sending us an email to outlawzprogressivechallenge@gmx.com with your name and email address and we will make sure you get your free image.

We hope you will enjoy playing with the lovely freebies we have lined up for you and we also have some prizes along the way! All members that play each month for six months will be entered into a draw for a $20 GC to be used at one of our sponsors' stores!

Rules:
The rules are very simple: join the challenge, join the progressive/freebie group, send us an email to register and then enter a project made with the image supplied before 6:00 p.m. EST on the last day of the month and you will automatically get the next image. If for any reason you don’t get your project made and you would like to rejoin us, you can buy the image of the month from the sponsor's store and as long as you enter it before the end of the month you will get the next one free and you will then get them automatically each month you enter a project.
Please do not add your image to Pinterest, or your blog or anywhere it can be copied from without a watermark. You can not share these images with anyone – if your friends or family want them send them HERE to join in and get their image or if they don’t want to join the challenge please send them to the sponsor's store to purchase the image.
When you have made your project please enter it into the gallery and Inlinkz (use the tag PF03 for the February challenge) to be entered into the draw for the site wide prizes from our other wonderful sponsors – check out the Outlawz side bar for this month’s prizes!
